Foxglove applies three layers of protection: metadata stripping (removes EXIF, GPS, and camera data), steganographic watermarking (embeds an invisible ownership signature in pixel data), and adversarial perturbation (adds imperceptible noise that corrupts AI training data).
Yes. All image processing happens locally on your phone. Your images are never uploaded to any server. Nothing leaves your device.
Yes, that's expected. Adversarial poisoning targets how AI learns, not how it sees. No poisoning tool — including Nightshade — will prevent ChatGPT from describing your image. That tests inference (reading), not training (learning). The perturbation corrupts the learning process when your art is scraped into training data.
Watermarks are embedded redundantly across the image to improve survival through compression. Save as PNG and let the platform handle compression on their end for best results.
Yes. Use the Verify tab in the app to upload any image and check if it carries a Foxglove watermark.
After protecting your images, tap the Save button to save them directly to your camera roll. You can also use the Share button to send them to other apps.
